|Summary, etc.:|| Viewers first travel to a watery wilderness at the edge of the Sahara known as the Djoudj bird sanctuary where birds are seen following the seasonal cycle of life. Viewers then travel with nomads to Niger and discover a hostile yet beautiful landscape of rocks and sand dunes where they follow a camel caravan down from the Air Mountains and into the Ténéré Desert. From there viewers travel to the last dense rainforest on the Ivory Coast to catch glimpses of antelope, chimpanzees, red colobus monkeys and Taï elephants.
