In 1929, Indiana Future Farmers of America (FFA) was founded as a youth organization for farm boys. The Plainfield (Indiana) High School Chapter of FFA was organized in the fall of 1938 and received its charter on May 4, 1939. Called the White Lick Valley Chapter, it was an active school group during the 1940s and and 1950s. Sources: Ancestry.com. "Frank Gladden." U.,., School Yearbooks, 1900-1999.
