Summary, etc.: When rich video store magnate Johnny Rose, his soap star wife Moira and their two kids, son David and socialite daughter Alexis suddenly find themselves broke, they are forced to leave their pampered lives to regroup in Schitt's Creek.
The Rose family's dreams of escaping their town are suddenly thwarted when the town's potential buyer succumbs to a diabetic coma. It's now clear that their stay in this simple setting will be much longer than they ever imagined. Faced with this horrific truth, the Roses must do the only thing they can: change the town from within.
The Roses find themselves at a crossroads between longing for the life they left behind and embracing the town they've reluctantly come to call home. They continue to adapt to everyday life in Schitt's Creek, as their temporary sojourn begins to look more and more permanent with each passing day. Even though the Roses still cling to the hope of returning to their former life, they continue to put down roots in a town that might just be the best place for them.
