This collection includes photocopies of an autobiography written by Laura Clarinda Bammerlin Hall and titled "This is My Life." Dated March 9, 1960 and written at the request of her daughter Violet Hall Perkins, Mrs. Hall included information about her parents and grandparents, her marriages, and childhood memories of living in Alabama. The autobiography includes a preface written by her daughter.

Biographical or Historical Data:
Laura Clarinda Bammerlin was born September 20, 1884 on a farm near Silver Lake, Koscuisko County, Indiana, the daughter of Lewis F. and Sarah Bammerlin. She and her family moved several times during her youth, but finally settled in Anderson, Indiana. She married Benjamin Hall on September 26, 1903 and they moved to Elwood, Indiana. She and her husband had two daughter, but later divorced. On December 28, 1933, she married Henry W. Gauding of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but this marriage only lasted about four years.
