Two items are in this collection. The Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence typed their 16-page report for the Indiana State Bar Association meeting in South Bend on July 8, 1932. They had recommendations to amend the criminal code, have "a state-use system for prison industries," and develop a plan of cooperation among law-enforcement personnel. Page 13 states: "Chief Morrissey of Indianapolis, and Superintendent Osborne of the state bureau, have been cooperating with the committee." The Chairman J. J. Robinson thanked the other six members of the committee.The President's Annual Address by L. L. Bomberger, on September 16, 1938, at the meeting of the Indiana State Bar Association, was reprinted in the Indiana Law Journal, October 1938, pp. 12-26. Mr. Bomberger gave a history of the State Bar Association "with reference to the three vital subjects of Integration of the Bar, Reform in Procedure and Independence of the Courts." (page 24)

Biographical or Historical Data:
The Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence gave a report at the Indiana State Bar Association meeting in South Bend on July 8, 1932. L. L. Bomberger, from Hammond, gave the President's Annual Address at the Indiana State Bar Association meeting in French Lick on September 16, 1938. He said that the Rule Making Bill passed by the General Assembly in 1937 "placed greater responsibilites upon the Bench and Bar."
