Voice of Tesla, Stacy Keach ; narrator, Elizabeth Noone.
This program tells the fascinating story of scientist, inventor and visionary Nikola Tesla. Though his work had an enormous impact on the 20th century, history recalls him as more of an eccentric cult figure than an electrical engineering genius. The program documents Tesla's dramatic life and surprising inventions through his autobiographical and scientific writings, rare photographs and re-creations. A brilliant and charismatic immigrant who rose to the height of wealth and celebrity, Tesla sacrificed everything for his visions. The program also recounts Tesla's intense rivalries with Thomas Edison and Guglielmo Marconi, showing how many of his achievements are still attributed to his contemporaries.
