Biographical or Historical Data:
The Alliance of Crown Hill Neighbors was formed in 2006 in response to the Crown Hill Cemetery Board deciding to sell 76 acres of forested land in 2005. A portion of this land included old growth forest and wetlands. Developers were invited to make bids on the property. A petition was filed proposing the rezoning of this land to allow for the development of housing and retail properties. The Alliance of Crown Hill Neighbors opposed this petition.
