"In the vein of Love Actually, the story follows six different couples in a posh Manhattan hotel over the course of one night just before Christmas." - Baker & Taylor
Several romantic stories take place in a New York hotel during Christmastime. - Gravitas Ventures Llc
A New York Christmas follows six different couples in a posh Manhattan hotel during a single night at Christmas time. First, a young Latino couple, Diego and Gabriela, agree to attend a winter formal together as friends. What she doesn't know is that he's been in love with her since they first met in high school. Unfortunately, she's always been attracted to the wrong guys. Next, a couple of sprightly octogenarians, Bob and Irene, come to the Big Apple to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. While their love has endured a half century of trials and tribulations, Irene starts realizing she now has to struggle with Bob's early-stage Alzheimer's. At the same time, touring musician, Jack, has found some success playing modest-sized gigs around the country. However, he's forced to choose between a tour that could change his career and the son who he hardly ever gets to see. Also, a lesbian couple, Jasmine and Katherine, are in town attending an event for Katherine's law firm. But a seemingly innocuous conversation about baby names leads to an argument about whether they should even have children. Meanwhile, corporate exec Susan is in a difficult marriage that she stays in for her 5-year-old daughter. However, she is tempted into infidelity by a man she met at a business conference â the fun and carefree Ben. She must decide whether her own happiness is worth breaking up her family. And finally, Korean fashion mogul Courtney has a painful secret she's kept from her artsy ex-boyfriend, Sam, for the past ten years. The death of her father motivates her to invite Sam to dinner at the hotel in order to tell him the truth.
