The collection includes 16 total items in 3 folders. Folder one includes 13 original undated political cartoon liquor advertisement cards. Twelve of the thirteen cards include advertisements of John F. Garey Wines and Liquors, Portland, Indiana; the thirteenth provides an advertisement for the publisher of the cards, A. H. Linaweaver, Findley, Ohio, posting a charge of $2 for 1000 cards. The cards also portray Folder two includes a one page original $25,000 stock certificate to Mrs. Anna Gay for 1000 shares of Redkey Citizens' Natural Gas, Light, Fuel and Petroleum Oil Company, Redkey, Indiana, 26 October 1907. Folder three includes a copy of the two page report titled, "Portland's First Well by Jeff Bowen, Portland Junior High History Club."

Biographical or Historical Data:
The thirteen original advertising cards were published by A. H. Linaweaver for John F. Garey Wines and Liquors of Portland, Indiana. Albert Harold Linaweaver was a physician and painter, wood engraver, and publisher from Findlay, Ohio. He was born in Springfield, Ohio, in 1856, and married Emma Gear in 1881.
