In the Vengeance of She, A beautiful young woman named Carol is plagued by hallucinatory voices calling her "Ayesha" and is drawn by a mysterious force toward the east. During her voyage, she meets Dr. Philip Smith who decides to accompany Carol to her unknown destination. Eventually, the two reach the lost city of Kuma where Carol is greeted as the reincarnation of Queen Ayesha, the beloved of King Killikrates. Philip is imprisoned and meets Za-Tor who tells him of the high priest's deceitful plan to obtain the secret of immortality by bringing back Ayesha to King Killikrates
In the Viking Queen, Salina assumes reign over ancient Britain, after her father's death, and wants a peaceful existence under Roman domination, but falls for Justinian, the humane Roman Governor General. Octavian starts a cruel terror campaign against Salina's people while Justinian is away. Salina must decide between her love for her people or for Justinian.
