Biographical or Historical Data:
Clyde Reynold Protsman was born to Elmer Ellsworth and Vesta Jane Clevenger Protsman near Vevay, Indiana on Jan. 10, 1896. He was the younger of two children. He married Hulda Elizabeth Horst in 1949, then they moved to Black Mountain, North Carolina in 1952.He was a poet, who won numerous awards and published at least six books of poetry. He died July 28, 1978 and is buried in the Vevay Cemetery in Vevay.Information found within the collection."Protsman, Clyde R.". 1900 United States Federal Census.
