There are five copies of a facsimile Deed of Cession for the Old Northwest Territory from the Commonwealth of Virginia to the George Rogers Clark Delegation, on March 1, 1784. The reprint begins: "To all who shall see these presents..." One of the signers is Thomas Jefferson. The facsimiles were printed November 17-19, 1927. Also in this collection is a certificate from the Executive Department of the State of Indiana declaring that Dr. Christopher B. Coleman of Indianapolis is a member of the Northwest Territory Celebration Commission. The last item is a small envelope containing four Souvenir Wampum dated May 21, 1938, and separately numbered. Each of the small pieces of cardboard represent "One Wooden Nickel."

The Old Northwest Territory was deeded to the George Rogers Clark Delegation, from Kentucky and the Old Northwest Territory States, by the Commonwealth of Virginia on March 1, 1784. Dr. Christopher B. Coleman received a certificate appointing him as a member of the Northwest Territory Celebration Commission in April 1937. The sesquicentennial was celebrated in 1938.
