|Summary, etc.:|| An out-of-work actor makes himself up as a woman to get a job. Nobody will hire brash Michael Dorsey because he's antagonized every producer in New York. When his girlfriend, Sandy, fails an audition for a soap opera, Michael dresses up as "Dorothy Michaels" and lands the part. Michael's fellow conspirators are his agent, George, and his roommate, Jeff. All goes well until "Dorothy" falls in love with beautiful Julie, and Julie's father, Les, falls for "Dorothy".
