Summary, etc.: A good-looking young officer in Napoleon's army washes up on the shores of the Baltic Sea and is rescued by a beautiful woman of mystifying, ambiguous nature. The woman leads him on an eerie trail which ends at a castle belonging to an old baron. The film closes with one of the greatest horror scenes ever, involving the young officer's reunion with the mysterious beauty.
