Biographical or Historical Data: Edwin McMasters Stanton Steers was born on September 30, 1881 in Orleans Indiana to John Harvey and Lila Hedrick Steers. He married Leila E. Kemp on October 25, 1910 in Indianapolis. They had two children Pearl and Edwin. He died in May 1977.
Ownership and Custodial History: This collection was received by the Genealogy Division as a donation from Edwin M.S. Steers on 1943/11/23.
