From the area that John Sutherland amassed from direct land grants and warranty deed sales came the platting of the Nordyke & Hollowell College Addition (1890) which was later changed to the Grandview Addition. The present day named Friends & Neighbors Neighborhood Association (FNA) is roughly bounded by 25th Street on the south, 30th Street on the north, College Avenue to the west and the Monon Corridor on the east. The book covers the neighborhood platting, business and industry and housing history, as well as demographic changes. Includes a historical timeline as well as a general bibliography.
