Content descriptions

General Note: The two battleships that signify the beginning and the end of America's involvement in World War II are given their dues in this fascinating documentary. The USS Arizona sunk in nine minutes on December 7th, 1941 when the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Four years later, it was upon the USS Missouri, or the "Mighty Mo" as she was better known, where Japan and the United States signed the treaty that ended the bloody conflict. At rest where she sank in Pearl Harbor is the USS Arizona Memorial, a few hundred yards away is the USS Missouri.
