In this suspenseful romantic thriller, Julia Roberts stars as Laura, a young woman who thinks she's found the man of her dreams in Martin (Patrick Bergin). Only after they are married does she discover the real Martin--compulsive, controlling and dangerously violent. After three years of living in fear and dread, Laura finally escapes, only to have Martin track her down.
