Baynots and boxes : 360 years of one branch of the Taulman family in America.
Bayonets and Boxes is the culmination of more than twenty years of research and study on the Tal-Taulman family in America. The Tal-Taulman family has been a part of the nation nearly since its beginning. They can claim first-family status in several states: New York, New Jersey, Ohio, and Indiana. They helped make New Jersey and Ohio become states; they arrived in Oklahoma only four years after statehood. Bayonets and Boxes tells the story of eleven generations of the family. Tal-Taulman men fought in the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the Civil War. The book is well documented and contains over 500 photographs. It is thoroughly indexed. While the book does not trace every sibling, it does provide information to anyone who would like to trace his or lineage back to Douwe Harmansen Talma, our first immigrant ancestor.
