|Summary, etc.:|| Like most of society, Lenina and Bernard live happy and promiscuous lives with the help of a drug called Soma. John, considered a savage, lives on a reservation free from conditioning but subject to emotions, disease and violence. Fascinated by John s capacity for emotion and his intolerance for their shallow society, Lenina teaches her students about emotions. This forces John to call her in for discipline, but when she tells him that she is pregnant with his child and intends to have it naturally, he releases her to a reservation to have the baby. The realization that his life is empty without Lenina leaves Bernard conflicted. Will he leave behind everything he has ever known and escape to an all but forgotten way of life?
