The collection includes letters from Charles Smith to Ruth Lebo written from DePauw University and other places (1902-1905); Smith family correspondence (1905-1958); Ruth Lebo Smith's diary and letters to her family from her trip to Palestine and Europe (1933); her papers and diplomas from Tipton, Indiana (1890s); newspaper and magazine articles regarding Charles Smith's work with the Methodist Church; and letters of the Burgess family (1854-1880), particularly letters from Alexander Burgess in Arcadia, Hamilton County to his family in Centerville, Wayne County.
