|Summary, etc.:|| This collection includes a 13-page, typed biography of Mary Adaline Brock, written by daughter Lennie Martin Berkey in 1941, covering Mary's life from her birth in 1858 through the Civil War period. Also included is a 2-page note written in 1943 by Lennie, with additional recollections of her mother during this time period, including a memory of Morgan's Raid during the U.S. Civil War.

|Biographical or Historical Data:|| Mary Adaline Brock was born 22 Jan 1858 to Michael and Elizabeth (Stover) Brock in Clark Co, Indiana. She married William M. Martin in February 1886, and died 7 Oct 1946. The couple had five children, including daughter Lennie Rose Martin, who married James Garfield Martin.
