Michael DeMotte, a Huguenot, fled from France to Holland with two of his brothers. They immigrated from Holland to Kingston, New York before 1665, and Michael married Ante Wesbrouck. Their four children were born between 1678 and 1687. Descendants lived in most of the United States.
