Geohydrology of the Cross-Florida Barge Canal area, with special reference to the Ocala vicinity / by Glen L. Faulkner.
This on-again, off-again canal is of historical interest. Its construction generated over 85 government reports, including Congressional ones, from 1930-92; on protecting our ships from submarines in WW II, through environmental and engineering concerns over the damage such a canal might do to Florida's groundwater.
